My name is Marco van den Boogert. 33 years, living in the Netherlands and married to Linette. We have a little daughter, Maud , and a son, Thijn. He's got his own website allready!'
Long before Maud's birth I DIY'ed a lot. So after her birth I had great excuses to make wooden toys! I like to learn new things and techniques and get some experiences with all kind of different tools, especially for woodworking. I'm like an amateur "Tim the Tool Man Taylor" from home improvement!

Being creative is my way to get rid of physical and psychological stress. Playing piano, gardening, DIY or making all kind of models, it doesn't matter to me. It gives me great satisfaction doing it!
Unfortunately, the last few years, my activities became less, because of a chronic disease called FMS, which gives me a lot of pain and makes it hard to work for a few hours. This changed my life completely. For almost every DIY job I need to rely on others. Hand scrolling is almost impossible. This Christmas decoration took me weeks to do!
Fortunately the sponsoring brought me this second hand Hegner in 2002!

Besides scrolling, I like to make furniture and other stuff. See ideas page.
The first cars I made were made with the router and a copy flange. This worked out well, but, the amount of dust was too much! Now, I'm trying to make the same cars with the scroll saw. That's also fine, but, I need the belt sander more often!
On the left, you see my self made workbench which is 4.5 meters wide made with raised kitchen cupboards, in my former work attic in Renkum. It's a great table! In my new house in Arnhem, I have installed the same table and I'm making a second one a bit smaller, to install all the fixed machinery in the future. I'll take new photo's when ready!
